A more comfortable apartment in Maputo’s hot climate

In a hot and humid climate such as Maputo’s, improving the thermal comfort of homes can make a significant difference to daily life. It was with this aim in mind that the owner of a private apartment opted for a ‘cool roof’ solution, helping to reduce heat absorption by the roof and improve the indoor environment of the home.

As well as increasing thermal comfort, the project also helps to reduce the need for continuous use of air conditioning, promoting greater energy efficiency.

For António Macuácua, who oversaw the works, the impact of this type of project goes far beyond the aesthetic aspect:

‘I am proud to have been part of this project in Maputo. For me, painting isn’t just about making spaces more attractive, but also about providing greater comfort and helping to reduce energy consumption. Knowing that our work makes a difference to people’s daily lives fills me with pride.’
