A visible temperature difference
The results were immediate and easily measurable. It was possible to compare the temperature of the treated surface with that of an untreated area of the roof, both measured on the same day at around 1.00 pm:
-
Area treated with Imperflex Roofings: 29.8ºC
-
Untreated area: 50.8ºC
A difference of more than 20°C on the roof surface, demonstrating the solution’s ability to significantly reduce heat absorption.
Greater comfort for staff
As well as improving the thermal conditions inside the warehouse, the project helped to reduce the need for additional ventilation and cooling equipment, creating a more comfortable and energy-efficient working environment.
According to Gustavo Luis Pineda, a painter at Pinturas GyM:
‘When people see the end result, they’re surprised because, as well as the visual freshness, they immediately realise the practical benefits. A lot of people say: “I had no idea that paint could make such a difference to the indoor temperature.’
For Antonio Joaquín González, owner of Pinturas GyM, it is a simple solution with a major impact:
‘As a painting professional, I can confirm that it is a simple solution to implement, requires no major work and makes a huge difference in day-to-day life, especially in very hot places like Seville, where temperatures can reach 47 degrees in summer.’
José Antonio Montesino also highlights the sustainable aspect of this type of project:
‘It is great to know that our work helps improve people’s well-being while reducing energy consumption. The paint we apply goes far beyond aesthetics: it is also a solution for the future.’
